Goodbye Radical Research Summit. It was fun!

With many events now aimed at UX researchers we’re officially hanging up our event organizer hats and saying goodbye to the Radical Research Summit.

Spatial Research + Design led the first Radical Research Summit in Vancouver BC, a conference organized for researchers by researchers.

We held 5 conferences over the years, focused on how research is supporting product innovation and likewise how researchers have to be innovative to solve problems. And we shared ‘in-the-trenches’ challenges of researchers and ways that research is impacting business strategy and product design.

We brought some amazing speakers to Vancouver, those who continue to be leaders in UXR today.

Steve Portigal, Sam Ladner, Indi Young, Judd Anton, Vivienne Castillo

Thank you all for being part of it.

Design research is where design, social science, engineering and business come together to solve problems and support innovation

Radical Research was possible because an incredible group of researchers thought it was an awesome idea to get together and nerd out on research.

Huge kudos to Sheila Mackenzie and Rock Leung for your commitment every single year.

And a shout out to our amazing peers that also always supported the event and rallied around us to build an amazing community of researchers: Paula Bach, Tara Franz, Barry Po, Allen Bevins, Stephan Doubrava, Anthony Hempell, and Rachel Singh; and to UBC’s Karon McLean, and Emily Carr University’s Eugenia Bertulis for showing up for us every year.

If you’ve read this far, you’re probably one of us research nerds. Stay in touch!

We are going to keep the Radical Research LinkedIn Group alive so join the group or Follow Spatial on LinkedIn.
